BULK SERUM PRODUCTION
The Bulk Department at Scantibodies Laboratory, Inc. (SLI) specializes in high quality human and animal serum production. The Bulk Department can produce custom serum to meet almost every need. The equipment, staff and capacity at SLI can accommodate orders as small as 1L and as large as 1,000L or more.
Some of the processing capabilities include, but are not limited to:
Ion exchange resin stripping BL-3 and BL-2 lab productions Charcoal stripping Diafiltration Large scale filtration
Every stage of production, from receipt of raw material to the final QA review of finished product are carried out by highly trained staff according to established procedures.
Each type of plasma (or natural clot serum) used in the production of serum at SLI has its own Raw Material Specification (RMS) document on file to ensure that only the highest quality plasma is used in production. In addition to the initial inspection upon receiving, all shipments of plasma receive a 100% inspection for visual clarity and color against controlled drawings. This attention to detail at the raw material stage ensures lot-to-lot consistency and the highest quality finished product available.
Standard bottle sizes are 1 liter and 3.5 liters per bottle. 25 ml bottle samplers are available on orders > 10 liters, if requested. Custom bottling available for additional charge.
