SCANTIBODIES LABORATORIES HAS RECEIVED AAALAC CERTIFICATION On October 21st, 2010, Scantibodies’ Tecate Vivarium Facility was granted accreditation by the international Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care. The accreditation process requires an institution to perform a self-evaluation as well as undergoing an in-depth evaluation of the institution’s animal care and use program on-site by representatives of AAALAC. Our voluntary participation in the program demonstrates that we are willing to go beyond the minimum standard required by law in our biomedical animal research program. We realize that when there is no alternative to the use of animals in science, the research to advance medicine must be carried out in a humane and responsible manner. AAALAC accreditation ensures that we are committed to continuous quality improvement, and the knowledge that a high standard of animal care results in better research and more reliable outcomes. ------END----- A Different Way of Doing Business
